In this next 3 patterns I took the letter E form I created and reworked them in different ways to convey different aesthetics. In the first one I placed the forms in a repeating offset pattern with a line than takes your eye throughout the piece. I also have a few forms darker than others to help keep your eye moving.
The next one I created a form, and replaced the bold dark lines with an outline of the shape. I juxtaposed them to give it a robotic feel and laid out several more throughout the pattern.
The last one I used was one that I created with bold forms in mind. I have the basic shape repeating down either side to draw unity, and create movement such as an old 35mm film strip, and in the center I have a mass I created with the same shape in different rotations and scale. The simplicity of the shape draws your attention into the pattern.
